In early August, we announced EasyBib integration with InstaGrok, a service that aids research by visually organizing information in a way that makes it easier to understand. Students can use InstaGrok’s tools — including integrated journals, web maps and galleries from other users — before they begin a research project.
But InstaGrok has something new! Now you can tell whether a source is EasyBib verified in the “Websites” section!
EasyBib evaluated its top 5,000 most-cited websites and gave them an overall credibility rating based on different criteria. This same website evaluation is now available on InstaGrok and makes it easier for a user to see if a source is worth including in his or her research.
If a website within InstaGrok has a red EasyBib book next to it, it has been evaluated as a credible source. Students should always ensure the information is relevant to their paper, but it provides a starting point for the overall credibility of the resource.
Remember, you can directly cite a source from InstaGrok using EasyBib! First, log in to InstaGrok (you can also connect through your Google or Facebook account). Next, search for your topic and go to the Journal page. At the bottom left corner, you will see a section called “Bibliography.” You can then export your citations to EasyBib and save it to your account.
